OPERA 3C is an immersive interface compatible with any type of TOS.

OPERA 3C: Yard Space & Capacity Optimization for combinatorial, continuous and chaotic layouts.

Completely overhauling the operational strategy to gain in 4 major areas: Space, productivity, resources, and carbon footprint.

The MGPS Method

— Without MGPS: Classic Operation (Right side)

• 6 straddle carriers assigned to one vessel (per vessel operation)
• empty moves (deadheading),
• No space gain,
• No possibility for improvement,
• Quickly overwhelmed,
• High machine consumption,
• Wasted time.

— With MGPS: OPERA 3C Operation (Left side)

• 2 fewer Straddle Carriers,
• No empty runs,
• Space optimization,
• Continuous improvement,
• No misplaced containers (no lost-in-yard events),
• Low machine consumption,
• Gains in time and productivity.

“OPERA 3C enables event-driven mixed stacking, delivering immediate yard space savings (up to 30%), double-digit productivity gains, and significant reductions in land and equipment operating costs.”

Calculation Elements

• (360 / (DWT x 1.27)) x NB GS x Stock Height x Saturation Coeff.

• 360 days: Calculation based on 360 working days, excluding 5 holidays.

• DWT (Dwell Time): Container parking time, directly linked to terminal capacity. The longer containers stay, the fewer new containers the terminal can handle. It is therefore crucial to evacuate containers quickly to free up space and increase traffic.

• 1.27: Factor commonly used to reflect weekend traffic peaks.

• OPERA 3C allows for fully mixed terminal usage thanks to zero-error handling.
