4 complementary levels: We aim to cover the entire operational chain at the terminal. From the gate to the vessel and vice versa, regardless of the terminal’s organisation: RTGs + tractors, straddle carriers, reach stackers or mixed configurations. All of this with the ability to interface with any type of TOS.

4 complementary levels:

1

SENSORBOX
Connecting the whole site

The new generation of SensorBox acts as the open hardware layer between the devices and our applications.

As well as high-precision positioning, it enables the integration of machine data, sensor data and industrial communications, as well as the new technologies required by terminals: video, OCR, automatic identification and artificial intelligence.

— The aim is simple: to have an architecture capable of adapting to various existing and future devices, regardless of their manufacturer or technology. MGPS creates a network specific to each machine through which all this data flows

2

ISOLOC
Managing operational delivery

— ISOLOC is now the operational layer between the TOS and the field.

The TOS organises and plans: ISOLOC converts this information into physical operations, transmits it to equipment and operators, monitors their execution and automatically feeds back the on-site situation to the TOS.
On an RTG + tractor terminal, for example, this specifically involves: the allocation and guidance of tractors, task management, positioning beneath the RTG, the loading and unloading of containers, transfers between the yard and the quay, positioning beneath the gantry, and the automatic validation of the various cargo handlings.

• TOS → ISOLOC → TRACTEUR / RTG → OPÉRATION → ISOLOC → TOS.

ISOLOC therefore no longer simply answers the question:
– ‘Where is it?’
But also: ‘What should it do? What is it doing? And has the operation been carried out correctly?’

3

KPI
Measuring, understanding

— KPIs: Turning operations into a management tool.

All these operations generate extremely accurate field data.

Managers no longer just have access to statistics: they can gain a precise understanding of how their terminal actually works and identify opportunities for optimisation.

4

OPERA 3C
Decide, optimise

— OPERA 3C : Moving from execution to optimisation.

The TOS retains the general organisation of operations, but our ‘real-time, on-site’ knowledge enables us to optimise their execution. This means being able to dynamically determine which vehicle to assign to which container, in which ZONE, at what time and with which subsequent task, in order to reduce waiting times and empty runs.
This reliable knowledge of actual positions also paves the way for far more flexible storage, transfers and repositioning arrangements, without the need for manual data entry, and, ultimately, for the elimination of physical fleet inventories.

All these developments point towards ATLAS, our comprehensive vision for the terminal.

ATLAS is designed to bring together, within a single environment, data from the TOS, ISOLOC, equipment, the SensorBox, sensors, video/OCR, KPIs and OPERA 3C, in order to provide managers with a single view that enables them to see, understand, anticipate and optimise their operations.

Its ATLAS SAFE component extends this approach to the growing challenges of security, safety and sovereign requirements: the protection of people and facilities, the traceability of goods, geofencing, anti-collision systems, video analysis/OCR/AI, anomaly detection and support for measures to combat theft and trafficking.
